Something is seriously wrong with me....

....these are so UGGly, but I really want them. I can just imagine how comfortable they are, but, they look a little Wicked Witch of the West with the stripes. I already have four pairs of UGGs, including the flip flops, yes, UGG has a line of sandals also, what! you didn't know that.

Let the Cough & Cold Season begin!

We have been working with a super talented artist for our Fall/Winter advertising campaign of Capmist. He is known as Cartoon Bob and he came up with the above illustration for some print work we are having done. He also just published his first book. Congrats Cartoon Bob! Good Luck with your book!

Carters First day of Third grade

I didn't want to completely embarrass Carter by having a 'photo shoot' at the bus stop, so I tried to hide the camera and snap a few pictures.

Uh-Oh We Are In Trouble Now......

....She can escape! Sean and I were so suprised to see Hayley come downstairs from her afternoon 'nap'. Little did we know, what we thought was a nap was her plotting her escape from Cribville. I think she doubles as a secret agent! She's a sneaky one!

Butterfly Princess

Courtney has wanted her face painted for the longest time. Finally, on Thursday she had the chance and picked out a beautiful purple butterfly.

P.S. Today is Saturday and she still refuses to wash the butterfly remains off her face, I did try, really

127 Pictures Later......

It is impossible to get a picture of these girls smiling at the same time. Since the girls had a fancy new hair do, I dressed 'em up and snapped these pics.

Do You Like My Stylish New 'do' ?

Hayley had her first 'official' haircut today. I have attempted to trim her bangs (not successfully as the stylist pointed out), but she really needed a good cut. The girl gets wild 'bed head', so hopefully this will help. Courtney needed her bangs trimmed and they gave her some long layers to correct her last haircut (my handy work again). Aren't they the cutest!!

Beach Inspired Cupcakes

Courtney and I have embraced America's addiction to fancy Cupcakes. Today our theme was ocean inspired. I thought they tured out pretty cute. We didn't even copy the idea from a book. I found the shell candies first and just knew I could find a good use for them. Courtney crushed up graham crackers for the 'sand'. The only thing we didn't have around the house that we thought would be cute were drink umbrella's. They would have been perfect for beach umbrellas.

Today, I sat by the pool with a giant Margarita and read a book.......oh no wait, that is in my Alternate Universe! Really, I tried to get some yard work done while the girls splashed around in the wading pool. Carter had football practice. It was a super hot day today. A lovely sunny Sunday!

P.S. Thank-you Auntie Trish for the stylish new swimsuits

P.P.S. An explanation for Hayley's look of confusion...she is looking for her sunglasses

Wake-Up America!!!

I have been 'blogging' now for almost two weeks and I have not yet posted about anything political, gasp!

That's about to change my friends...

Do yourself a favor, turn off the reruns of Two and a Half Men and take a few minutes to find out what is going on with our government right now. Be informed, pay attention and speak up!

The Obama/Pelosi/Reid healthcare plan being debated right now on Capitol Hill poses a fundamental threat not only to our nation’s and your own financial health and prosperity, but to every American’s individual liberties and right to free choice.

The most dangerous part of Obama/Pelosi/Reid healthcare “reform” is that it paves the way to a complete government takeover of healthcare in this country that will dramatically expand the size of government; allow bureaucrats and politicians to dictate your choice of doctors, treatments, and medicines; and ration quality care to control costs.

Think about it this way.....when you go to the BMV to renew your drivers license it usually involves taking half a day off work, standing in line for hours & getting weird looks from government employees as they try to figure out which button to push on the outdated computer.

Do you really want this system and people in charge of your medical care??

Catch of the Day

Good thing we didn't have to catch our supper. We would have been really hungry.
